Default Tourist licence

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find out more info to apply for a tourist licence. I am buying a few apartments but have been informed by someone to be careful as there is going to be a clampdown on holiday letting.

If you have an apartment it is not possible to obtain a licence for tourist lets. Under current legislation only villas can register to obtain a licence.

You can see why the current articles on illegal lettings are raising a problem as it is not possible for apartment lettings to be anything other than illegal.

Most other areas of Spain do not have this problem as the local laws of those provinces allow for the registration of apartments. The Balearics and the Canary Islands however, do not.
