Hi
We looked into hiring fans last year and were surprised at the cost so we looked in a couple of the small electrical shops in Pollensa town and found it was cheaper to buy 2 of the big standing fans than it was to hire them for 2 weeks. I think they cost us around £20 each. They are even cheaper if you call in one of the bigger supermarkets (Carrefour near the airport, SYP on the Inca Rd & the biggish supermarket opposite the petrol stationn in PP. At the end of the holiday we boxed them up and checked them in as hold luggage and brought them back to the UK.
(we had great fun after a couple of bottles of wine getting them back into the original boxes!).
