Default Moving furniture from UK to PP

Does anyone know of a cost effective way to go about moving a single item of furniture out to PP from the UK? All the removal services have quoted, but it costs more than the item is worth!!

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Hi Mrs Translatorman,
it depends on what the item is. Easyjet for instance were prepared to take 2 full size doors for me in the hold, although in the end I didn't need it. I've also taken 2 large whicker garden chairs (some years ago now).
Give easyjet/airberlin or any other carrier a phone and see what they say
