Default estate agent commission

Does anyone have knowledge of estate agents commission for selling a property, particularly larger properties ?

I seem to think it is around 5%, but does that reduce for larger properties?

Thanks in advance

AK

I would ask around and try to do a deal. McCullum was offering 2.5%

When we last property sold a property in 2021 we went back to Engel Volkers who we had used before and paid a large amount €, the best they would offer was a “reduction” to 5%, we then went to JS Properties who we had never spoken with before and they immediately offered 4% they sold the property very quickly and at a price 85,000€ above what Engel Volkers expected to get, so it is worth shopping around for the best deal based on how quickly you think they can sell it, price expected and % commission.
