Default Van Hire from PP or old town

Thanks to the help of forumites, we have now bought our apartment in PP! Very exciting.

We're heading out again in late May and need a van for a few days to transport furniture, BBQ, washing machine etc.

Anyone know of anywhere reasonably local that rents out vans, any size, big or small, for a couple of days? I've looked online and can't find anywhere local at all.

Thanks

RecordGo will rent you a 5 seat Caddy for £20/day incl insurance though Ryanair and you can collect at the terminal. I shifted massive amounts when we moved in 3 weeks ago. You could get the 7 seat version but with the back seats removed the cargo area of the little caddy is 180cm long, 96cm wide and ~100cm tall IIRC. I had tables and chairs and sideboards in there no problems. Several runs up from Trabadoo in Palma.

I looked at washing machines in Conforama etc and I could've got an 8kg Samsung for €400 but I would've had to get it delivered and I didn't fancy carrying up the stairs (our wash room is in the attic). In the end I popped into Vila Electrodomestiques (?) in town one morning at 8.30am,the shop was closed but the owner was passing and he opened up to sell me a 7kg Samsung for €355. He then brought it round at 3pm, lugged it upstairs and connected it all up FOC. Winner

Not local but you can get a transit from OK. Short wheelbase so you are ok to drive with a standard license but roomy!

All great info, thanks guys.

I'm going out with Ryanair, so will probably try Record through them.
