Default Electricity Supplier

Hi everyone

I have been recommended by a company called Fortec to switch electricity suppliers from Endesa to Holaluz because, according to the nice man from Fortec, it will save me €370 per year on my bills.

Before I stop looking this gift horse in the mouth, I was wondering if anyone has anything to say for or against Fortec and/or Holaluz.

This is purely a financial decision, although Holaluz do claim their energy is 100% renewable, which is also appealing. I have no other reason to switch from Endesa who have given me good service and who provide decent web access to my account etc.

(I found an old thread about leccy bills but it was 3 years old, so forgive me for starting a new one)

Just looked at their website and the unit rate is 0.123€/kWh and the power rate is €3.17 per kW.month. That compares to 0.133 and 3.78 for Endesa Tempo but not including any off peak discounts. So for my 5.75kW demand and ~300kwh per month I might save €36 a year?

Do you have a mansion?

It cant be 100% renewable in Mallorca either as there simply the infrastructure.

Ha ha. Thanks Bobley. I wish!

Just a 3-bed house outside town. Sounds like Fortec may be over-estimating the savings somewhat. I’ll check their calculations
