Default Installing a safe

Hi everyone
Can anyone suggest a local supplier (PP / Alcudia) for a home safe, preferably with a digital entry code?
I'm looking for something about 25w x25d x15h in cm, that I can install myself.
Thanks in advance
Shaun

From recent bad experience, I can advise that the document safes that you describe (that are often found in rented villas/apartments/hotel rooms), can be quite easily forced open, as there are a couple of known weak-spots on them - Particularly on some of the cheaper models.
They work best if sunken into concrete on each side to prevent the external box structure from being compromised.
If that is not possible, and you are bolting it to a wall, if you can also get the locking mechanism side flush upto another wall, that will improve things.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience lovemallorca

There are educational youtube videos that shows how easy some of these are to open, no tools or hammers or crow bars needed, just the heel of your hand or something sturdy such as the heel/sole of a sturdy shoe.
When you are aware of how easy these are to open you will be more careful on holidays.
A low cost safe:

A better video that shows why it works:

The key method:

A larger safe that looks high quality but can be opened with a magnet. The Magnets can be bought on Ebay.

There is also a key available to buy online that will open most apartment and villa doors with a bit of practice. I wont post a link to who sells them.

An old video on youtube from 2008, this method of lock opening has been well known for years.

I have seen comments on here where people had safes emptied without any sign of forced entry, and this will be why.

Knowledge is power as they say.

Hope that helps people stay safe.
