Default Street lighting.

This has been posted on FB by the Ajuntament :-

Actualment s'està executant la millora de l'enllumenat del Port de Pollença, amb substitució de faroles obsoletes i millora d'eficiència energètica. Aquest és l'àmbit del projecte.

We are currently running the improvement of lighting from Port de Pollença, with replacement of outdated lamps and improvement of energy efficiency. This is the scope of the project.

This project is still ongoing but i must say it is making a huge difference, some areas of the Port were very dark but with the new LED lighting it is much brighter, i think this is money well spent .

That's got to be excellent news. However, are there still the same number of lights?

For example, in our village they replaced the whole light stem and lamp with the supposedly energy efficient brighter bulbs BUT they reduced the amount of lights leaving some areas in total darkness.

Hopefully they have more sense in PP and the number of lights is still the same.

Hopefully when all of the upgrades have been done, there will no more blackouts in streetlights in Mendez Nunez and Medico Lopis for days at a time.
