Default New Kitchens and Bathrooms

Hi
Have any of you had new kitchens or bathroom fitted in your apartments. Where did you purchase them, who fitted and how did you find the process overall, any tips would be gratefully received. Also did the cost differ from what you would expect to pay in the UK.

Thank you so much
Paula

I used Cuinhogar in Puerto Pollensa for my new kitchen. They have a shop just down from the Bodeguita Bar in the port.

Cuinhogar is family run and seems very professional and they came highly recommended by one of my neighbours who had already had a kitchen fitted by them.
Their sons do the fitting and did a really excellent job - they were there very day at the specified time and cleaned up carefully after themselves. I am delighted with the kitchen and many friends have complimented me on it.

On the downside, they were not so good at communicating delays with supplies of the units I had chosen which were made in Galicia. This was pretty annoying as I had factored in 3 extra weeks for 'possible delays' but the whole job took them outside my absolute deadline for finishing.

I also had a brilliant Project Manager (an English guy who lives in Alcudia) who kept an eye on the whole thing and made sure that the other necessary trades (electrician/plumber/plasterer) were all there at the right times.

Also, highly recommended is Paul from Project who I believe advertises on this site.

Thank you, that is very helpful. We are over next week and I will definitely take a look at the shop.

I have also used Paul Robinson who owns Project. A very good knowlegable English guy.

I had my apartment re-plumbed, with the supply run through a new suspended ceiling in the hall way with downlighters and then 2 new bathrooms completely gutted and 1 bath replaced with a walk in shower. I retained the bath in the main bathroom. both have rainshower mixers.

It was not cheap but I did use top quality fittings and tiles.
