Default Dishwasher

Hi, could anybody help out my wife with a recommendation of what to put in the dishwasher along with the tablet to get the dishes clean. They are coming out all streaky and I'm worried It might be back to the fairy liquid and rubber gloves for me. Thanks in advance.

You might need to fill up the salt.

CLOUDY GLASSES?

You can determine the cause of cloudy glassware by soaking a glass in vinegar for 5 minutes. If the cloudiness is removed it is due to hard water deposits; make sure the salt reservoir is topped up. Do not worry about over-filling it.

If the cloudiness is not removed, it is a permanent condition known as etching. In this situation, use less detergent and stop pre-washing. Dishwashing detergent needs a bit of soil to work on, otherwise it will tend to foam up.

You need to use a "rinse aid" or you can buy "Somat" which combines detergent, dishwasher salt and rinse aid in one .

Thanks Sparky, she has asked about to find something like this, but couldn't make herself understood. She is at present looking where to put the salt😄

This might vary according to the make of dishwasher but in mine (Zanussi) you have to unscrew a cap in the floor of the machine .
