Default Street lighting.

Have any residents noticed that there is a problem with the street lights in the Port, it seems that only certain streets are affected but that changes from night to night?. Does anyone know what the problem is?.
This worries me because it could be very dangerous but more so for the tourists who don't know the streets well, when the lights are out away from the front line or square it is pitch black .

I am not a resident. However, this sounds like action by the council/lighting people to save money, it does happen in the UK and sometimes street lights are dimmed late in the evening. Someone I'm sure will know.

The lights were out Wednesday and Thursday last week in Mendez Nunez and Medico Lopis. It was pitch black in most of the roads. The Reception at the Flora reported this Friday morning and they were back on that night. So far no further problems here.

We stayed in an apartment, quite a few years ago now, in Bellresguard, and for the whole fortnight the electrics would go out every evening, usually as I'd just blow dried one half of my hair. We had to buy torches, to find our way in and out of the complex. I wouldn't mind, but it was the most expensive place we've stayed in P.P. Needless to say we've never been back !

The electricity was interrupted in Gommar today as they were working on it. Maybe there is a fault. The signs went up at the end of last week informing us.

As far as I remember their problem was related to the weight of their teeth.... sure it was something about "mass of chew sets"

I was talking to one of the locals last night (the lights were off again ) and he said the problem started when the clocks changed and it seems that the timers have been messed up. The lights did come on around 11pm but i wish they would get it sorted out, it is dangerous and someone will be injured if it continues .
