There is a bit on the council FB site that says they are holding a meeting on Tuesday in the Club Pollenca to inform on legalizing 500 properties. ( my understanding of the post anyway)

I found this in the UH Unas 500 casas de Pollença en suelo rústico se podrán legalizar con la nueva Ley del Suelo » Part Forana » Noticias » Ultima Hora Mallorca

Quote:
About 500 houses on rural land Pollença may legalize the new Land Law.

The Consistory of Pollença estimated that about 500 buildings located in the rural land in the municipality is able to legalize if the property takes the necessary steps before the City Council.

The Land Law incorporates a special procedure that allows the addition to managing existing buildings built on rural land outside the law and are now out of management.
The City Council will explain to the residents affected the steps to follow to legalize these buildings . The briefing will take place on Tuesday at the Club Pollença and in the same intervene mayor of Pollença, Tomeu Encrypt , the first deputy mayor, Martí Roca , the city architect, Jaume Carbonero , and attorney and municipal advisor on urban issues Miquel Ripoll .

"The new Land Law legalizes the buildings that were built before the entry into force of the Law of Natural Areas (Law 1/1991, of January 30, natural areas and urban regime of special protection areas of the Balearic Islands), if located on protected land, or prescribed by the infringement in common rural land, "explains the mayor. According to regulations, the buildings could be incorporated into management within a maximum period of three years, with all the rights and duties inherent in the works with license. The Act provides that the proceedings shall be conducted by the person concerned before the Consistory Correspondingly, where "the legalization request along with graphical and written documentation relating to the building in its actual state and proposed incorporation of measures for adaptation to environmental conditions and landscape management integration, if and effects of this incorporation, established without the other application parameters and the planning conditions applicable to all buildings effects on rural land, "explained from the City Council.

"To Pollença is crucial to legalize the villas located on rural land, we must not forget that many of the people of Pollença living directly or indirectly from holiday chalets in summer and being able to legalize warranties at the time of renting and if they want to sell, "emphasizes the mayor. The Consistory estimated that in the municipality there are around 500 buildings that can benefit from the application of this legislation and that is why "we have seen fit to put our tools available to citizens and explain what the process they have to follow to legalize their homes, "adds Encrypt.
