Default Movistar........great service

We ordered our landline and broadband from the Movistar shop in PP on Wednesday pm, we were told that the technician would come at 12 o-clock on Friday and true to their word he arrived spot on time.

After an hour we were up and running and good to back in touch with the outside world, no longer to be dependant on the whims of our Vodafone dongle!!

We have also found Movistar very good and responsive. They were particularly good when our internet went down and came out very quickly on a Sunday.

We have given up Vodaphone both in the UK and Mallorca and would never change back to them.

I'm thinking of taking the plunge & doing the same after all these years as well. Out of interest which Movistar package have you gone for? Did you also have existing (unused) landline telephone sockets in your place?

Thanks.

Ours is a fairly new apartment so was already wired with telephone outlets and we had never had a landline before so it was a completely new installation.

We went for the Fusion package at 49.99€ per month, this included landline (with some included minutes) and unlimited Internet + mobile phone with some free minutes to Spanish national numbers. The router was inclusive.

Don't forget you need to add tax to the 49.99 so its actually 60.38 give or take a cent.

Thanks to whaleywanderer's post I went into the Movistar shop on Tuesday morning & ordered the installation of a line & Internet. Incredibly it was installed by Telefonica/Movistar without hassle this afternoon & I'm posting this message over my new WiFi!

I must second the great service recommendation!
