Hi there,
I know that this is some 16 months later but by mother has a holiday apartment in Canyamel (near Arta and Cala Rajada) in Mallorca and has a red Topper with a registration number in the 30,000s that she is interested in selling.
The boat was sailed off the beach at Canyamel during summer holidays regularly during the 1990s by my father, my sister and myself but somehow since he died a few years ago and dinghy sailing has generally become less fashionable on the island (or at least on our part of it) the boat hasn't been sailed more than a handful of times in the 2000s. However the boat is always stored in a dark basement store room in our apartment block when not in use where there is no sunlight so it really shouldn't have suffered any deterioration for that reason. It has a few minor scuffs and scrapes on the bottom side from pulling it up on to the beach but has no marks on the red top side and is watertight. It comes with all sails, rigging, centreboard, tiller and rudder plus the straps to let it be put on a car roof rack. We always used to rent a roof rack from the car rental company to get it from our apartment to the beach at the start and the end of the holiday so we don't have a trolley for it.
It would be good for the boat to go to another British sailing enthusiast who is going to appreciate her. If anyone is interested then make a post and let me know, although as a Newbie to this forum I'm not sure what restrictions there may be on me sending or replying to PMs? Hopefully someone can at least send me a PM I can reply to.
I'm of course assuming that one of you or someone else in Puerto Pollensa is still interested? I think a Topper is likely to appeal much more to a Brit and in our resort 85% of the locals are Germans.........
