Default Topping Up

I purchased a pay-as-you-go dongle from Vodaphone in Pollenca - it's great ! Once it runs out - does anyone know how I top it back up ? Thanks.

You can top-up in the Vodafone shop or most of the Tabac shops.

Also some supermarkets and most petrol stations top up mobiles.

Make sure you have the phone number of the sim written down clearly as if the staff in the shop type the wrong number into the till some elses sim will be topped up

I take the sim card packet with me and have the number highlighted with a coloured marker, show them the sim packet and some euros and they know what you want. Yo no hablo español muy bien, voy a tratar de aprender de un libro

When you have topped up with some Euros you then need to convert some of the Euros into a data allowance, known as ' Bonos prepago'

There is a page on vodafone.es here:
Vodafone: Acceso internet prepago, Bonos prepago

google translated version here:
Google Translate

To activate a data allowance you send a text from the dongle software on your laptop to 2207 with the appropriate message such as 'C BAS' exactly as it says on the vodafone website.

You can choose a fixed amount of data that is valid for 90 days or an unlimited amount ilimitado that is valid for 7, 15, 30 days by sending the appropriate text message.

Hope that helps,

Mark.

I am able to topup my Spanish phone sim online via my bank (la Caixa).

I suppose a dongle uses a sim?

Maybe worth looking at the online services provided by your bank.
