Default Wifi Update 2009

It would be handy to know where people have been able to pick up Wifi this year. We could list all the establishments that offer this facility. I'll set the ball rolling:

Nicos - free when eating or drinking
JK's - free for the cost of a drink
Daina Hotel - free for the cost of a drink
Los Zarzales - ????

I'm sure there must be many more

Last year I was able to log onto the PP forum and the Tapas Bar at Bony's - can't see him not doing the service this year. Just ask for the password to get on. I'm sure that Cafe L'Algar were doing it as well as I saw their wi-fi name when I logged on.

Default Internet and wifi

To follow on in the right thread from the flights section, the Coramba cafe has recently reopened under new management and renamed the mousetrap and are offering internet, free wifi and printing.Boarding cards can be printed as well as all the usual facilities.
P.S. It is now a non smoking bar for all you objectors.

Last year Hotel Club Pollentia had free wi-fi access in the main reception, & Bar Triton & terrace, probably cool for non-residents as long as you buy a drink

Free access at the big Eroski supermarket at the roundabout. Also managed to get online outside the Mirimar on some open connection named "default".

On our recent visit to PP we used the free wifi at the Daina hotel, for just the cost of a drink. There are comfy sofas in the reception area if you don't want to sit in the bar and we met some nice people too.

Just ask for their code when you order the drinks.

Smile wi fi

heres a few I discovered a couple of weeks ago.

Pines restaurant on Carrera Formentor. A drink or coffe does the trick. Great British food at really reasonable prices, drinks very fair prices too .

Rustic cafe also Carrera Formentor " (evenings only )

J.Ks bar " "

Daina Hotel (been there at 5 am no charge)

Oro Playa Carrera Formentor (unsecure network so I did not use )

Had no problem with using any of the above Daina seems the best although I sat on the kerb outside Pines and used their link one Tuesday when they were shut.

Good hunting .Home a week and missing P.P.a lot ! Slipalong.

Thanks for that S & Lola

May need to be careful about using WiFi without permission, I think in the UK this is illegal and counts as theft!!

Does anyone have advice?

Default wi fi

Hi Gordon good point. however if they have willingly provided their password I cant see as there would be a problem. You may however be correct when no password is give , (on unsecure sights for instance) . These I never touch anyway, but thanks for the advice. Cheers Chris

I am going to be in PP in just over 3 weeks and want to access free Wi-Fi if I can. Can you still get Wi-Fi at the places listed on this thread? Are there any other places I can get Wi-Fi?

I am staying at Villa Concha, does anyone know if I can get Wi-Fi there or anywhere near there?
