No problem, you can get a Pay as you go phone from several shops in Puerto Pollensa like Confort and Reus, a nokia 3310 is about 75 Euros. Plenty of outlets to get the credit topped up including the tabacconist and you can choose from various Mobile phone companies Movistar, Amena and Airtel. Just check how often the Phone has to be used and credit bought though before making your choice.

Yes, as said above it's easy & worth doing. Last year I bought a phone in Carrefour - worth checking out if you're there. At that time a Trium with Movistar was about 50 GBP (I'm sure the deals change). Top up cards are 20 eur. You need to top it up every 9 months to keep using it although you can receive calls for up to 12 months. If you buy a top up card in Reus they will phone up (using your phone) & do the top-up for you although all you have to do is phone the number on the card - pretty easy!

For my phone there were options to change languages on both the actual phone & with Movistar -so messages etc. are in English. The manual you get will probably be in Spanish but most manufacturers have manuals to download on their web sites. If you can get a Nokia they are easy & intuitive to use but it will depend on what you're used to.

Another option is to buy a SIM free phone and Spanish SIM (Airtel/vodafone) from Carphone Warehouse - see the web link from our shopping page www.puertopollensa.com/HolidayShopping.html
