Am afraid I haven't yet come across any yet although I think some hotels are starting to get it - especially in Alcudia.

Does anyone know?

I just happened to turn my lap top on when parked in the rough ground car park at the back of pp and got a connection I have no idea where it came from possibly an apartment near by .. but it was very slow !

PS any one know if the internet cafe on the front has reopened this year ? there was no sign of it in April .. you could plug your lap top in there and had 2 desks free for this type of use.

Beachfun, we've done the same in our apartment (welcome to the forum by the way!). A number of times we've managed to 'hitch a ride', not quite the correct thing to do I know, but if someone hasn't made their connection secure, who am I to complain. :rolleyes

Sandy,
You're right; if someone is stupid enough to leave their door unlocked, why shouldn't you just walk right in there and nick a few things.....enjoy!

Now I feel really guilty. Sitting in our apartment in PP and hitching a ride! Had to have my PP.com fix!

Unprotected wi-fi connections are very common. Same as bluetooth connections on mobile phones.

Anyway, please can we halt this discussion now.

Although we haven't yet heard of any wi-fi hotspots in PP, we do now know that Cafe Caramba has a connection to let you plug in your laptop - see www.puertopollensa.com/internet_cafes.html
