Default IB-RED - Advice regarding WiFi

Hi
For a number of years we have had great success using IB Red our villa is in the Crestaix/Subac area.
Suddenly we have a message coming up saying Limited Access.
Has anyone else had this problem? is it that IB Red are now having problems keeping up with the increased number of users.
Much appreciated to have your views.

This is more likely to be a software or router problem. Have you installed or downloaded anything recently? Is so, trying restoring the settings to a previous date. It is a fairly common fault but there are multiple reasons. Could also be due to antivirus software.

Hi Alcanadakid,
We had a rental party in last week so maybe that has happened.
Your input is appreciated many thanks.

As a first step try

-in windows-

Control Panel>Network & Internet>Network and sharing centre>troubleshoot problems.

That will correct the network adaptor if that is the problem, which it may be.

If that doesn't work try rebooting the router, - if no joy then try resetting the router (but you will need to put in all your set up details, which may be simple but could be complex depending on you router).

You could also try restoring your computer to previous settings:-

control panel>all control panel items>recovery>open system restore>next> Then choose a date when you know everything was working OK. This will restore the settings to those at that date. It won't delete any files you have created in the meantime, but you might have to reinstall any updates since that date

In our house in Alcanada one of the things that gives a poor internet speed is the physical connections. By just taking out all the internet plugs (telephone type) and reinserting them I can double my internet speed. However that is for information once you have achieved "internet access". It is not likely to be your current problem.

Good luck.

First question, what device is giving you this message ?

First thing to try,
Unplug the IB red router from the electricity, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, wait a few minutes while it reconnects.
Then reboot the laptop/ipad/phone or whatever is giving the problem and try again.
If it still doesn't work try a different device if you can to prove if the problem is the connection to IB red or the device that is giving the message.

Rolling back windows on a laptop is the last resort and wont help an Ipad at all or if it is an IB red problem or wifi channel problem.

Thank you so much for your advice, I really appreciate it.
Our problem is we are in the UK and have a holiday party at the villa. My main problem today is that ibRed are not answering their three phone lines.
Hope the weather is good out there so the rentals can enjoy the beautiful island and don't feel the need to download. ha ha.

IB RED do seem to be a bit overwhelmed with work at the moment as they have expanded considerably. I struggled to speak to them several times last week, although once I did the service was good.
