Default British TV

Hi
Hope someone can help me. I have searched through the forum and found some old information about Satelite TV but hoped that someone could advise what the best thing to do to get some UK channels. We only have a small dish and have heard that you can add some sort of box to give us more channels and better reception? Or is it practical or possible to use the Internet?
Thanks

Helenjo, I think most of the information on the forum re English TV is up to date. You can use the internet if your speed is good enough using FILMON via a laptop or netbook connected to your TV. There are also a variety of boxes on offer but I can't comment on these apart from saying that again it will depend on Internet speed. The only sure way to get the programmes is with a large dish as discussed on the other thread.

I'm not sure of the details but some friends in the same community as us bought a 'smart freesat box' from Confort and it was getting quite a few channels even though the rest of us had lost them when the satellite changed. Our community has now installed a large dish so no problems for us but it may be worth a trip up to Confort to ask?
I think they had a 1 metre dish
