Default Wi-fi in apartment.

Hola

I know this question's been asked before but what do other owners regard as the easiest, quickest and cheapest way to get the internet in their properties? I won't be using a landline and obviously it will only be used when we visit our apartment.

I don't want to be paying loads of money each month in line rental for when we're not there. Does anyone know what line rental costs are anyway out of interest?

Gracias.

We went for IBred eventually. They have a few good options. We went through Confort so have a chat with them, they are extremely helpful.

Thanks all for the replies. IBred was one I'd heard of so I will pop down to Confort where I buy most of my electrical items and have a word.

Fil, don't think I'd use it enough to justify 60 euros a month but otherwise a good package.

Keep any other ideas coming amigos!

Another provider that is just like IB red is conectabalear.com

The suitable package would be the 'basic' at 35 Euro monthly + Tax I think, ( No calls, just internet)

Works perfectly well although for a few holidays would be expensive as you are paying every month.

As others have said, go to Confort and ask for PEDRO

Ibred 33euros per month with an option to switch off for up to 6months each year if you have long periods where apartment is empty

Some up front charges ...... Can't remember how much but nothing to get worried about

We have the lowest package and we can still sustain 3 people browsing at the same time

We can also stream tv and movies to an ipad but I have to say that when doing so, other people using internet do see a slow down ...... But it's fine for our needs

Sent with the help of my inbred internet

Thanks CD. That sounds exactly like what I need. 33 euros a month is reasonable with the option to switch it off for certain months.

I will speak with the man Pedro!

Yep, that's the guy! He is very patient with your (our) questions and different options available. Certainly gets our recommendation too!

Just a thought, best to bear in mind that you would need the permisión of the community before installing an IBred ariel.

Its just a small white box actually about 8" X 12". Some people are able to have it fitted on their balcony. Nothing at all like the problem for the TV dish!!

At our last community meeting not enough voted to have the internet installed, good point. However, we have a 'phone line so can't it come via that or, because it's internet only, does it have to have a dish then?

I assume that if I have a dish it's a wireless connection from there into the apartment?

Nick, we don't have a dish, just a box as I said. The wire is threaded down to the router via phone conduit. Its then wireless in the apartment.
