Have Villa Concha Apartments had a refurb

I think we want a bit of both which is why it is taking us so long to make a decision. We would like somewhere which is modern inside like Daina with the children's pool like Concha. I have had a email back from Villa Concha and they have confirmed that they have updated the pool but not inside. We have started looking at private lets aswell now and have spotted somewhere around the El Pinaret area which we are considering.

Just wondering whether you have made your booking now and wish property you chose. The Villa Concha is adding an amazing childrens play area in the pool - water slides, buckets that dump water on their heads etc. Looks like its going to be fun and as far as I know its the only one in PP...... today the diggers, lorries etc. are still there while finishing up but they have also laid out the sunbeds and parasols, tables and chairs so obviously a tight call.

We are staying in a private apartment directly opposite the villa concha in June and was advised last year that we could use the facilities in the VC. But when I went in, the chap on reception said we couldn't, due to 'insurance reasons' as we aren't staying in their hotel. We have a 3 year old and the new pool area sounds ideal and a break from the sand.
Any ideas if we would be able to use them this time??

Normally all the complexes are for the exclusive use of their guests for obvious reasons. In reality a few will allow you to use the facilities providing you respect the paying guests and spend money at the bar/restaurant.

I would suggest just wander in as though you have every right to be there, but make sure you spend some cash whilst there to keep both parties happy

We walked through Villa Concha on Friday and it looked amazing, everything ready and several people staying there already :-)

I do find it a little annoying when people want to use facilities of other apartment complexes such as pools etc. If they want a pool book a property with a pool. If people want to use the new play area in the Villa Concha they should book to stay there and not across the road and just wander in! It is unfair on people who are paying for these facilities in their rental and even if people wander in and buy drinks etc it is still annoying as if everyone did it the pools,play areas etc would be too full at the expense of paying customers.

Appreciate what you are saying tangofan, and I wouldn't have normally thought of 'just wandering in'.
It was advertised on the apartments website that we are/were able to use their facilities at the VC so was a bit confused when told last year that we couldn't. It was just a question to see if anyone knew if we were able to use them this time as we have friends who we don't see often, staying in the VC who leave 2 days after we get there. So thought I would ask people's advice as thought it would be nice to see our friends over there if we were allowed to use the facillities for all of 2-3 hours instead of meeting on the beach. But this has since been answered by a hotel manager.

I have booked Villa Concha for a week in October with my disabled friend so will be asking for a downstairs appt.Has anyone had any experiences of these appartments?
