Like you many of you cyclists I have been holidaying at Pollensa Park for 20 years and have seen how the owners have ploughed back the profits into improving the hotel.

I will be there in 2 weeks and although I know that Pedro, Tolo and Toni will not be there as usual, life must go on.

We have all read that Spain has been going through torrid times financially but like all true Brits, we do not expect that such problems will have any impact on us.

I will not give up on the hotel in which I have spent over a year of my life just because they (and we) are having to face reality. From what I read, regular parties just missing out one year could cause further problems to the viability, encouraging others to do the same will have a riotous effect and could well lead to the hotel's demise.

Think you'll find Tolo is still there but the hotel will change dramatically with Swiss Germans in control

Change can be good and not necessarily negative. Personally I welcome the return of the Germans and if the swiss want to come all the better! Could be the making of the hotel and pollensa as it has become mostly English over past few years. If we want Blackpool we will go to Blackpool. I think the change will be for the better but I'm sure some will disgree.

If Tolo is still there that can only be good news. My earlier info was clearly inaccurate.

Is Toni still there?

It is great to see a balanced view of the changes that is appearing in the latest posts

My latest update received from a couple of friends still out there at the PollyPark is that in the last two weeks the food has improved dramatically, and the place is very busy.

As the starter of this thread, I do hope that we're able to get there next year - it ticks all the boxes for my group. Hopefully the new management team are now finding their feet.

I have been to the Golden Lion tonight to watch the final of the Copa Del Rey, most of the customers were Pollensa Park staff and have been told that Tolo and Toni have both retired.
