Red face good or bad choice of apartment?

Hi everyone
This is my first time on this forum.
My husband is a parapligic and we are going to PP for the first time 31st Aug this year. We have never been abroad before, so booking this holiday and getting everthing right has been a nightmare.
We are booked with Disabled Access Holidays. and are staying in Apartment 1B Calle Almirante.
This seems strange to us but the company post the keys to the apartment out to us, and we have to post them back when we return. Is that normal?
With each phone call to the company I lose confidence that this is going to be all it was advertised to be.
Has anyone stayed at these apartments and if you have could you put my mind at ease that it is all ok.
Their brochure says the sea is 100 metres away and their webstite says its 50 mtrs away. ( is that how far the tide comes in or what!!LOL)
Also is their a shop nearby to buy milk and water etc.
cheers

Hi Springjean and Welcome,

The key situation is quite normal for some apartments....it was the same for us this year (previously we have picked them up from la Singala Hotel, but it hadn't re-opened when we were there in May) it actually works out better I thought....can make your way straight to the apartment rather than asking the taxi to stop off to pick them up!
These aparatments look lovely and I am sure that one or two forum members have used them.....I am sure they will reply regarding nearest shop.
Hope you have a super time, in a super place...I know you will.

PS: I think these are the ones you mean.....read customers comments, very good!!

I have stayed at one of the owners apartment, although not the one your in .The owner is a great guy. I have met him on several occasions as he usually stays in the apartments at the same time as us. The apartments your staying in are right beside the square, an ideal place. The pine walk is only a matter of yards away. If you have any problems, Mike has a guy to sort it out for you. We only had a minor problem with the safe and he was round straight away. Dont worry you will have a great time and believe me you will be back again. The only reason i am not there this year is because my daughter is getting married next week and im skint. lol . Have a great time.

Thanks, that is a great help.
Feel happier now that its all going to be ok.
Just one more thing, could you tell me how far is the nearest shop to buy Milk-water-bread etc from our apartment?. We are planning on eating out mostly, but just want to buy the basics in.
And I won't be able to carry heavy shopping too far, so the nearer the better.
cheers

Not quite sure where the apartments are but someone said they are by the square, if so, there is a small supermarket on the formentor rd at the rear of the Daina hotel (ok for basics) or the eroski supermarket on Juan XXIII (just up from the roundabout) both can't be more than 200yds away. We are out on the 4th of september, counting the days. You will have a brilliant time.
