Default Llenaire vs Boquer

We are considering small apartments in these two areas for three weeks next August.
We have a six year old sociable little boy who ideally would like a few other children around him (not hordes!).
We cannot decide between a property in Boquer (garden & terrace nnear beach) or a few others with pools in Llenaire.
Anyone any ideas which end we'd be best?
Cheers!

Personally I would always choose the Boquer area which is behind the beautiful Pine Walk beach and is backed by the Boquer mountains. The beach is narrower than the other end but will be fairly busy in August. We have stayed in that area for the last 6 years or so with 2 boys. Even as teenagers they're still happy to dig up the sand, go snorkelling, take out a pedalo - all available at that end.

The beach at the Southern end is a lot wider and separated from the hotels and apartments by a road. The area north of the Marina including the Pine Walk is all pedestrianised so you can sit an a cafe & watch whilst your child plays safely on the beach.

Obviously you may prefer a pool for your son but I would still choose the more atmospheric Boquer/Pine Walk area any day!

Default Llenaire

I have stayed in the Llenaire area with my family during my last few visits to Puerto Pollensa. I would always prefer to stay in this area as it is quieter than the pine walk area. The beach at this end is lovely white sand & is never too busy - also there is hardly any pine needles in the sand, sore on feet !!! There has always been children around so your son is sure to meet somebody.

Although it is about a 15 min. walk from the town centre it is a nice walk to have at night right along the beach front - and can be good for tiring out little people. There is also a bus which runs from outside the Galleon Hotel into the centre for only approx. 60p per person.

There are a few restaurants/bars within a 5 - 10 min. walk and a well stocked mini market opposite the beach.

We found it very hot in August so I would say a pool is a necessity for cooling down after a visit to the beach.
