I thought I would post a review of this very good aparthotel as it might be useful for someone else.
My 9 year old son and I decided to
stay here because I couldn't justify - or more to the point! - afford the cost of a private
apartment. Our one bedroom apartment cost £354 for 7 nights from Monday May 31 to Monday 7 June which was cheaper than the cheapest private apartment that is advertised in here.
I did a lot of research both on here and tripadvisor and
Villa Concha got lots of positive reviews. And I am pleased to say that the reviews were right, this is a great place to stay.
We had a 1 bed apartment which consisted of a lounge / dining room, tiny kitchen, a balcony, some stairs leading to a twin bedroom and bathroom. It was comfortable rather than plush but perfectly fine for our needs. But I would think that if you had to fit a family of 4 into the apartment it would be a tight squeeze and my opinion would probably be different. But for the 2 of us it was perfect. I will put some photos on the next two posts so you can see what it looked like.
We had asked when we booked with
Alpharooms that we be placed in a quiet room away from the bar and this is certainly what we got. There is entertainment in the bar and around the pool but we didn't hear a peep from our room (number 220).
The aparthotel complex is very child friendly and my 9 year old loved the pool. They seemed to have an excellent kids club for under 7s as all the kids seemed to be having a brilliant time whenever we saw them. It is a short 10 minute walk to the Marina and 2 minutes to the beach.
The bar does food which was quite nice the one time we ate there, has nightly entertainment - a kids disco at 8.15PM followed by a cheesy turn like for instance an Elvis impersonator at 9.15PM or so - and there was also a shop on site. The shop was OK for essentials but a bit pricey. There was no wireless available but there were 4 computers available to check emails etc for €1 per 10 minutes which was reasonable.
There was also a games room that contained some quite dated arcade games, an air hockey machine and a pool table. There was another pool table in the bar and one more outside by the pool. There was also a table tennis table by the pool too. My son had a great time playing with all of these.
So overall I can heartily recommend this place if you are staying in PP and have a child. If you have more than one child it could be a tight squeeze but plenty of other families with 2 kids seemed to cope just fine.
