Villa Costa Siller area

Guys,

1st post so be gentle!! please

I am staying at the Villa Costa in Siller area June this year and have a few questions

How close is the Villa to Puerta Pollensa, our party will be 8 adults and 4 two year old childrens, although we have cars we would look to be on foot most of the time

Is the walk to the centre flat or hilly

Are the decent bars/restaurants that are an easy stroll

Is there anything I need to know about the Villa or the area etc

Hi Ski and welcome to the forum...I'll be gentle with you

Just taken a look on Google earth and the villa appears to be probably a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the centre of PP and the beach. It would be a fairly flat walk but knowing that area it is fairly rural and unlit, so walking into town with young children may be a problem in the evening (you would need torches). Also you would have to cross over the by pass which again with young children could be tricky. If you have cars it might be better for a couple of you to drive down to the Port with the children, while the others walk!

Once you get to the Port there are loads of bars and restaurants all of which welcome families with young children.

The villa looks lovely and I'm sure you'll have a great time

Your villa is very near were we stay, the roads are not very well illumimated, though there is very little traffic, we have never found walking to the port a problem any time of day or night with two young boys. Also the road at the bottom you have to cross is fine, again not loads of traffic, just common sense as you would cross any road. I think at a lazy stroll pace it should only take 15 mins max to walk into the port. Great area on a night around Sillar as we have always found it very quiet, apart from the kids playing in the pool as we fire up the BBQ.
