Default Hotel recommendations

Hi all
New to this site which I have only just found as a friend has gone to P.P.for the first time.Since reading all about the area it really appeals to me,but always wary about trying somewhere new as very fussy about standards of accommodation.
Have narrowed suggestions down to the Daina Hotel or I'll D'or.Has anyone stayed at either and can give advice or suggestions-be very grateful as don't want to make a mistake in booking wrong place.Or if anyone knows of a really nice villa and pool near to resort I'd be interested. Thanks in advance

Both the Hotel Daina and the Illa Dór are of a very good standard and I do not think you would be dissapointed with a holiday staying at either of them.

The Diana is situated in the centre of Puerto Pollensa and the Illa Dór is situated on the lovely Pine walk about 5-10 mins walk from the centre of the town and possible quieter.

If do want to have a look the alternative of staying in one of the lovely villas in the area try Villas and apts to rent for Ideas.

Default RE Hotel accomodation

Hi!
We were like you a short while ago having never been to this side of the island but have heard nothing but good reports (best part of Majorca!)
We have booked a villa with a pool with Sol through their advert on this website, we hope it looks as nice as it is on the pictures! It is inbetween the port and pollensa old town. We go on Thursday so I will let you know when we get back if it is ok.
Roll on Thursday!8)

Default Re Hotel Accomodation

The villa we have booked is through Sol Imob and is called Villa Can Pou. If you click on the villas and go onto the Sol site, ours is the villa in Pollenca. It only shows a few pictures but you can email them and they will send you more by email. 8)

Default Villa

Hi! Have been back since tuesday now. The villa was really spacious. It was on the old road in between the port and the old town. You need a car for most of the villas but taxis run up and down. Our villa was clean, towels changed every few days, washing machine (very handy!) DVD, CD player, TV, barbecue house etc. When we arrived the owner had left bread, margarine, dishwasher tablets, Cava, fruit etc which was a really nice touch. We had a few ant problems which were solved by the gardner who was around every morning (a few cracks which soon got filled in) but you expect that in the countryside. The villa was off the main road on a track for 3 villas and early and late there were sheep with their bells which was quite relaxing (it felt like we were in the middle of the country!)We hired a DVD from the Port one night, just had to leave a deposit. The villa looked beautiful if you left the lights on at night and drove back. Would recommend the villa, the only drawback was no air conditioning as it was so hot when we went, but there was a fan and I believe you can hire them. The owner supplied a cot for the young child. The pool is raised up and for very very young children we put a lounger at the top of the steps so she wouldnt go down the steps. All in all a very nice villa for a very nice price! They do other villas around the resort and in other resorts. Email maitre and she is very helpful. If there is anything else just ask! Happy hols!
