Question 3 night break 12 - 15 February 2010

Hi there

Where would be the best place to stay if we were heading out to Mallorca in February for a few days? What is PP like in February with regards to accommodation/restaurants etc etc? We thought of perhaps just staying in Palma!!!! good idea or not! Never been to Mallorca in February.

Thanks

Hi ragdollabbi

Not sure about PP in February - I'm sure others on the Forum will be able to help you.

Have been in Palma several times for short out of season breaks including February and have had sunshine for at least part of the time. Really like it - lots of great restaurants and cafes, recommend the Santa Catlina area and also tapas bars around the old town. Plenty of shops too. Very atmospheric.

Thanks Kat

If you can recommend any good hotels, would appreciate a PM from you if you don't mind.

Thanks again

PP is OK in Feb if you are into outdoor activities such as walking, cycling or sightseeing etc.Temperatures are normally in the mid teens although it can be lovely and bright if the sun is out. Most shops and restaurants remain shut until around Easter in PP although a few remain open year round. For just a 3 day trip Palma would be better in Feb in my opinion.

We came at Feb half term last year and loved it

It was quiet but there were certainly enough places open for it not too seem like a ghost town ............. weather was plesent , t shirts in the daytime but needed coats in the evening.

Lovelly to go into the restaurants with their fires burning in the evening , lovelly to walk along the beach in the daytime. Illa Dor has reopened by then so theres a lovelly treat at the end of the pine walk

I would recommend it ........... providing you arn't looking for roaring nightlife .... but if that were the case you woudn't be looking at PP anyway
