PP map of all hotels - Gommar Apts

Have just popped on to this website and spotted that you have a map showing ALL (I quote) hotels and apartments in PP. Went hunting for the Gommar Apartments - no joy,and I'm going there next week. Help !!

Hi Seagull,

the map we have shows all hotels and registered apartments/aparthotels i.e. those with a classification. There are many more privately owned apartments. If you have booked your apartment through a company or private owner, they should send you send you directions. I'm afraid that although I know the 'Gommar' area, I don't know the 'Gommar Apartments'.

Who did you book with?

Hiya,

Just googled Gommar Apartments and came up with this:

flyglobespan.com | Gommar Apartments, Puerto Pollensa, Majorca

...which looks like the apartments above where the Rosa Blanca bar/restaurant is at the Habitat roundabout.

Any help ?

Hi Seagull and welcome.

Miriam is correct about location.

Have a look here, it'll be about a 15 min walk to the marina and seafront down the main road in to town,or you can take the bus.

The other road down to the beach and seafront would be maybe 10 to 12 minutes.

Enjoy your holiday!:D

Yup - the Gommar apartments are the ones above the Rosa Blanca bar. They where built in the 60's I would guess. They are a mix of holiday aprtments and permanently occupied ones. I think the standard of accomadation may vary.

As well as the Rosa Blanca bar there is another small, good value bar/restaurant called Aries and a Spar minimart which is ok for emergency purchases but is quite expensive - great for your morning croissants as they have an in store bakery but you have to get there fairly early as they tend to run out! There is another restaurant around the corner called the Hideaway (el escondite) but it's opening times seem a bit hit and miss!

Easy walk to centre of port or beach and the Caprabo supermarket is only about 400 yards away.

The best thing about the Gommar area is the tranquility (once the bar has closed)

Hope this helps

Totally agree with you GG - I love the Gommar area too. Quiet but within easy walk of the beach and town. We used the bus this year as car rental was such a problem. It was so easy to just walk anywhere. It made us question if we actually need to worry about a car next time out as most days it can just sit outside anyway. A great area to live or to holiday in my view.

Hi folks, Seagull here - thanks v.much for all your responses, we do know PP very well - although not the Gommar area, normally stay at the Sis Pins but they wanted an arm & a leg for 4 nights. Globespan operate the Gommar Apts as well & they're much cheaper so we thought we'd give them a try this year. Incidentally, have just checked out the weather site ..... please God do not let it rain !! My webbed feet couldn't take any more - we leave on Thursday (24th).
