Default christmas

Hi , I'm looking for a week's break in PP at this dreaded time - 20-27 Dec - looking to leave behind all the hype etc and have a peaceful time away.
But first , some questions.
1 any suggestions re apartments?
2 what's the weather like at this time?
3 what's open at this time -anywhere you can get a decent dinner? or will it be self catered?
Any other ideas/suggestions gratefully welcomed.
Terri

Apartments should not be a problem but it will be self-catering, hotels are closed for the winter. Hostels Mar Calma and Corro open. You might find getting flights at this time more difficult, best book early.
Weather is unpredictable at this time. Usually the end of December start of January is dry and sunny, though chilly in the early morning and evening. But that doesn't mean there might not be a day or two of rain, or really cold weather. Some Christmases it has been nice enough to have lunch outside, others it has been freezing!
Good choice of restaurants open, most doing special menus for the festive season (eg Tango, Ivy Garden, Trio, Hideaway, Gigi's, chinese )
