Wanted - Villa with gated, heated pool & some air con eg bedrooms

Am trying to find the above for our family (2 adults, one 4yr old and a baby) and also walking distance to beach/shops/amenities but seems near impossible! Any suggestions/recs - not overly fussy about where but we want to go early June for at least a week.

Thank you if you are able to suggest something:)

Is there nothing suitable on the left of this page?

You might also want to look at Villa Parade. They had propoerties with gated pools I seem to recall and they certainly have villas very near or in the old town which could meet your other requirements.

Happy hunting!

Lala :)

Thanks Lala

Yes I've tried looking on the site at the private ads but not really clear if the pool is heated and can't find one that's gated either....also tried Villa Parade - they were helpful but not really able to fulfil the requirement.

Just wondering about my original choice of villa and, as it fulfills every other criteria, we should just relax about pool heating?? Is it likely to be ok for the kids in an unheated pool at the beginning of June??

We stayed in a lovely one in 2006, when our boy was about 10 months. The pool was gated and very secure and the villa itself was gorgeous with gardens all round (huge front garden)and a barbecue/patio area to die for. However the pool was not heated (we stayed there at the same time as you're going) and was a little chilly at first but OK after a minute or 2. Our 10 month old was fine with it once he got over the initial shock.

The main problem for you will be location - we had a car (5 minutes max to PP and the same to the old town), but definitely not walking distance to either (with young children in tow).

Anyway, couldnt recommend it highly enough, if your interested just PM me and I'll send the details.

Sorry Mrs W - didn't realise that you were looking for a heated pool don't know of any villas thta fit that bill but as Wacker says - you should be ok. Find a villa with a pool in the sun (rather than shaded by trees etc) and it will warm up as the day goes on. We usually go the last week in June and the water is lovely.

If you want a really warm paddle with wee ones try the shallow waters of the Pine Walk beach in late afternoon - bliss!

Have a great hol.

Our kids are always in our unheated pool by the last week of May. Always a little shock when they first get in but they get use to it quick enough. This year we were over for Easter and the kids had short wetsuits and they were in the pool. We bought them in Penneys (Primark in the UK) and they did seem to help with the chilly water. Money well spent.

I would expect your 4 year old to be absolutely fine jumping in and out of the pool by June ............. we were in the unheated pool last week ............ I have to say I personally didn;t "jump" in , but it was fine once you walked in and got over the initial chill

The teenagers were just jumping in though

The baby will probably prefer the sea which will be shallower, unless you are lucky enough to get a pool with a shallow end which will warm up really quickly

You could get a small inflatable boat or ring for your little one to sit/play in, it will help him/her get acclimatised to the water and take the mind off the initial chill
