hiya Trespass5

El Pinaret is first right just after the Surf and Sail on the sea front, and about a 10 minute stroll from the centre of the Port. It is very quiet and peaceful even in the Summer and obviously more so in Winter. Having said that a lot of the apartments are lived in all year round so it is never completely deserted.

I'm sure you will love !!

Thanks for replying debz,it does look ok from the pics we have, the apartments have a roof terrace,do you go at christmas?,what kind of weather can we expect?.
We are going to PP next weekend,so i might even have a nose to see, although i will have my grandsons with me and i don't want to bore them,it will be very tempting to look though.
Thanks tresspass5

Hi Trespass5

We have never been over the Christmas / New Year period so don't know how busy or quiet it is, or how many restaurants or shops are open. I do know that as the New Year comes in the locals eat a grape for every chime of midnight :\ !! I am not sure what the significance of this is ..does anyone know? But washed down with a few drinks I'm sure it would be fun..or at least help towards your grandsons daily fruit intake

The weather at that time of year is very unpredictable..you could be in T shirts by day but it gets very chilly at night. This year when we went in Feb it was freezing and the day before we arrived they had snow across the entire island.

I have looked on a street map and cannot find the road you said but anywhere in Pinaret is only a short stroll into town The apartments and villas in this area are a mix of holiday and permanent homes so it is never deserted even in winter.

Debz1

you are given 12 grapes and on the 1st chime at midnight, you have to see how many grapes you can eat before the 12th chime. However many grapes you have eaten , you are supposed have that many months good luck.
Yet to eat 12.
