Default Evening Meal Times

Does anyone know of a hotel in PP that serves their evening meal before 6.30pm. Stayed in the Uyal last year, which was lovely, but the evening meal sitting was 6.45pm, which is a little late for my 2 and a half year old daughter.

Is this time the norm for hotels in PP, usually we stay in a villa or apartment, but enjoyed the hotel experience last year.

Any suggestions would be welcomed

As you probably know the Spanish and Mallorcians tend to eat much later than us Brits..even the children!

Just a suggestion but 'when in Rome' have you thought of going continental? When my children were little we always had a siesta from 2 til 4 (my hubby and I enjoyed it as much as the kids!). They were then much happier 'bunnies' which meant we could eat later without any grizzles! A stroll with your daughter in her buggy after dinner along Pine walk 'till she drops off, and then back to the hotel for a drink on the balcony...Perfect

Debs,

Seems like we have always had the same holiday ( excuse private joke Suemo - referring to a comment Debs made about a previous post of mine )

Joking apart, I read this post earlier todayand have just come in to type my response and it seems Debs has beaten me to it.

Yes Suemo ..... the ONLY answer to make the holiday perfect for all of you is to go withthe lunchtime Siesta ...... if you can't bear to be inside, then do what we often did and find a shady spot and a sunbed and made a little bed for your daughter .... adults can then read a book and relax in peace if you don't want to sleep yourselves.

We also used to ask for daughters main course as we had our starter and then put her into her buggie to sleep whilst we were still at the table .... most hotels and restaurants are happy to give you a table in a corner where you can discretely lodge the buggie beside you ( I'm assuming you have a small lightweight one for hols )

This way you get the rest of your meal in peace and the rest of the evening to do whatever you like with ...... as Debs says you really can't beat an evening stroll along the pinewalk

Have a great time

Debz, Do you know if Multihire does a triple buggy I could hire? An afternoon fiesta sounds like heaven to me.
Take care.

cd even now we go and feed the fish over a coffee at the Ila D'Or so some things never change from when the kids were little

And Rob you'd look a bit silly in a buggy but 'specially at a fiesta !
