Default Bonanca Apartments, Puerto Pollensa, Pine Walk area

Hi there, We are thinking of booking the Bonanca Apartments for next year and was wondering if anyone had stayed there and could let me know their thoughts. We have two kids (14 & 12) and there will be a big group of us of varying ages from babies to grandparents, maybe as many as 12 families (my hushands big 40 celebration holiday) (we are not necessarily all looking to stay at the same accommodation, just nearby to each other, so no need to take that into account), Anyone know if these apartments would be a wise choice for us, ......or got any recommendations. We need to be Pine Walk end and close to beach.

Thanks so much to anyone who replies.

Deb

Have not stayed at the apartments but we use the pool and bar every year. The apartments look fine and are near to the beach. We always stay on the Pine Walk, lovely apartments but can work out a bit expensive

Hi Deb ....... I've stayed in one of the Bonanca appartments, and know several people who have stayed in others. Absolutely no problems. Very nice. Certainly handy having Bar Bonanca downstairs , good food all day and excellent pool area. The brothers that run it are long time friends and if you don't mind a bit of good natured cheek they are great company. The bar / pool / appartments / small shop all in that same block would be a good choice for a group of friends assuming the bit of a walk into town isn't a problem for anyone.

Used to live opposite. Very noisy and spoils the area.

Hi Belter, thanks for that, you have put my mind at rest regarding the apartments.....like the sound of them even more now. Could you just let me know, is it a really long walk to the town area and if so, are there plenty of bars etc on route ?

Hi again Deb ... probably about 10 - 15 minute (very pleasant) stroll along the pinewalk into the town centre. Dehydration would not be a problem on the way The appartments are not as luxurious as some of the pinewalk options, but then neither are the prices . As for being noisy and lowering the tone .... the pool usually is closed about 7 in the evening and the bar does run a live music / supper evening once a week generally on a Friday. I suppose that may get irritating if you live next door. Let me know if there's anything else.

DEB,

I AGREE WITH MICK, IT IS A LOVELY POOL, NOT TOO LOUD AT ALL, WE WERE IN APARTMENTS NEXT DOOR, BUT USED THERE POOL, AS IT WAS BIG, CLEAN, AND DEEP, FOR DIVING IN...LOL, AND OBVIOUSLY THE BAR. BAR MAN IS A TAD CRAZY, BUT COOL...HAVE A LOVELY TIME.

SORRY, I meant i agree about the walk, got side tracked there, thinking of the lovely days we had by the pool, but the walk, is fabulous, day or night, only problem we had, was if you forgot something, and was more than a quick nip back, but provided you dont forget anything, lovely walk. not to far at all

Hi Deb,

Thanks for your comments, which all sound exactly what we want to hear......you said you stayed in apartments next door to Bonanca Bar, as there is a large group of us going next year and we may not all get in Bonanca apartments, could you let me know what the apartments you stayed in are called and how you rate them ??

thanks alot, Debs

Hiya Deb,

We stayed in Pollensamar apartments, ( next door)and i happen to know they cater for large groups, as the top floor all have interlocking rooms, for friends, and multigeneration families...

I would highly rate these apartments, they are run by travel club of upminster, although we got a great deal, to go with them would have been 2-3 times more...so check out other websites, we used holiday beds direct, and paid 323 pounds for 2 weeks, T C Upminster wanted over 350 for a week, so we were thrilled, make sure you look around. you will love that end, its lovely !!!

also could try Singala, bed and breakfast, 1 the other way, very nice hotel. any more tips, please feel free to ask..

Deb
