The Hostals & Pensions listed in our featured hotels section should be at the lower end of the price brackets. See www.puertopollensa.com/hotels.html#featuredpto

Hey beachboy88 if you want somewhere cheap & cheerful try the Mar Calma hostal - no a/c in the rooms tho' & VERY noisy as above the Irish bar!

Also, Goleta, Eolo & Paris are other options.

I think you will find the Mar Calma is now closed - unless anyone knows different? But the others are all good options.

I stayed at Eolo in October .... basic but very clean, very cheap, fantastic location and staff were lovelly

Only concern I would have aboutstaying there in June is the noise.

The rooms are not air conditioned and even at the end of October ( nice hot week ) we needed to leave the windows open ......... being so close to the 1919 and the Irish Bars could mean it woudl be a bit too noisy in the evenings ......... early mornings can also be a bit noisy

I guess it depends on how much sleep you are planning on wanting !

Have a great time wherever you end up

We stayed at Eola in July last year, when buying our flat, so it was height of season and of course, we had to leave the windows open. In terms of noise (we were at the top on the front facing the sea) there was a general buzz in the evening, but it didn't go on too late. I recall being woken up in the early hours of the morning by some drunk singing, but he ran out of words pretty soon and everything went quiet. If you're prepared for a bit of noise, I don't think it will be too bad.

I agree with CD about it being basic but clean. And of course the location is second to none.

Hi just got back from PP after a two week stay at the Eolo....very good if your just after a cheap place to stay and your not planning on spending much time in your room (very stuffy especially in evenings) also quite noisy at nights...mainly people coming home from the square..otherwise, they were clean and tidy and yes the staff were nice too...except for the older man on reception at night, a bit grumpy!!parp!
