The majority of Villas with Pools are in the countryside around Pollensa although there are a few in Puerto Pollensa itself so you may need to have to drive to get to beach, shops & restaurants etc.

Hi Sleepybobby,
Long time, no speak...
We've mostly rented villas in PP and love the freedom and privacy they bring.
As Pollensa said, most are in the countryside and you'll probably need a car, which can put a dampener on the nominated driver when you go out at night. On the good side though, think of all the beer and wine you can stock up with and put in the fridge!
Having a private pool is a fantastic luxury and coming back after a night out and having a midnight dip is one of the highlights of our holiday.
The quality of villas can vary (as in most things) but we've enjoyed all of the ones we've rented over the years. You will probably come into contact with the local wildlife more with a villa and barking dogs can sometimes be a nuisance, but on the whole, the peace and quiet more than makes up for it.
We've rented twice through the website and both times enjoyed the holiday.

Hi.
There are loads of great private villas advertised on this site but if you want to use a good company with fantastic properties, try Villaparade.co.uk. All their villas are just lovely. Good prices, helpful staff, great locations, fab pools, car hire included. We've used them load of times. Excellent!

HI guys, try prestige properties. We have had two villas off of them over the years, both in the port, in el Pinaret, on south beach. The first one was 50 yds back from the beach with private pool, a/c, four beds, two beds etc. Not too expensive. The second was front line, no a/c but about 6 beds, three bathrooms etc. absolutely stunning although quite pricey. Good luck!

Hi peeps
We rented a villa last year in Gommar in the south of the resort. It was brill, i must agree with all of you about the privacy and your own pool is fantastic, our villa even had table tennis and a pool table. We did hire a car, but only used it for the shopping or to go into Pollensa.
The port was about a 20 min walk along the beach and we usually ended up getting a taxi back to the villa which cost us about 4 euros, there was no arguing who was going to do the driving that way.
We booked ours through Villaplus. They were very helpful and i would recommend them to anyone, it wasnt particually cheap tho.
Happy hunting sleepy

Hi, we booked through villaplus who are fantastic the first one was in Llenaire which was very secluded but a five minute drive into resort centre that one was called Villa Tocheta. The second one was in Siller and that was still private enough and was a 10 min stroll into the resort centre that one was called Villa Lorenzo. Both had the same amenities, pool table, ping pong, sky and playstation 2.
Hope this helps

Hi Sleepybobby,
you will probably find that villas booked through companies tend to be more expensive than those let out privately (as these companies are paying the owners a commission). So do have a look at our private rentals at puertopollensa.com/rentals/ where there is a large variety of properties at differing prices. Out of interest how much were you hoping to spend?
Regards.

Hi sleepybob
Snitch! I told you in confidence that i was a international money forger. Please dont tell anyone on the forum about it! i might just get blown up to the law:eek :eek :lol
Higher tax bracket, your 'avin a girraffe:lol . We had 78 in that villa, so the cost of the villa divided by 78 worked out not too expensive at all! bit cramped tho, i ended up sleeping on the ping pong table:eek :rollin :rollin

Welcome to the forum Pamela.
The villa looks lovely but I can't work out where it is being both in the countryside & near to beach & restaurants - I'm intrigued. Which restaurants/beach is it near to? Is it near Cala San Vicente?

Hi
Las Rosas is directly behind the town between Siller and Boquer; walking from PP centre cross the new Formentor road follow a path over open ground, right turn along lane and the villa is about 500mtrs on the right about a 10 minute stroll from the town centre. The grounds are completely private and have a super view of the mountains looking north. Hope this helps.
