Default Flora Apartments

Can anyone give me any feedback on the Flora Apartments. I have read some very good reviews on various websites. We have just returned from PP after staying at the 'other' end. Wondered if the Flora were in a quiet or built up area. Can see where they are situated on the map, would appreciate any feedback. Also how far on foot to the main square and shops.

Hi Mags,

The Flora is great, stayed there last year and going again this October. It is in a fantastic area really central, but still a peaceful location as it is set a couple of roads back from the sea. It is also just a couple of minutes stroll from The Square and the Pinewalk. The apartments are basic but very clean and spacious and there is a restaurant on site. There is a fantastic swimming pool and the beach is just a very short stroll away. It also faces onto a couple of small supermarkets and the British Food Shop should you miss your home comforts.

I would recommend it to anyone.

Hi there

I have stayed at the Flora many times could not complain. The accomodation is not fancy but clean and tidy. You would go along way to find nicer staff. I am a travel agent in Northern Ireland and am constantly reccomending them.

Last August I went to Pollensa with a friend and had the night mare of missing luggage when I arrived, needless to say the reps did nothing even telling me that I would have to keep ringing the airport and get a taxi there and back when my luggage arrived.

When Pedro at the Flora saw I'd no case he rang the airport and after a long conversation in Spanish I had my case that evening.

Hope this helps

Hi,

I have also read good reviews of these apts but depending which brochure I look in some say the apts are air-confitioned and others don't mention it.

So can anyone tel me if the Flora apts are air-conditioned?

Thanks,

Dave

Default flora apts

We use a apt just over the road, i noted they definately have a/c units fitted now, so i would assume, yes they all have a/c now.

Hi again,

I stayed in the Flora again last August and the have air conditioning operated by a remote in all apartments. Very effective don't know what we would have done without it.

Default flora

We stayed in the Flora a number of times. They are a basic standard with just 2 hot plates for cooking but that didn't bother us as we always ate out. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful and the pool are is great. Very close to all amenities. There is a new apartment block being built opposite but it didn't look as if it was causing too much of an inconvenience noise wise in early June. Near the beach, really close to restaurants, Pepe's is across the road and so is Trio with Laroc, Coral Little Italy and Bahia really nearby as well. Spar supermarket across the road and Voramar nearby as well.

Well we ended up staying at the Flora and it was great. Very clean, great maid service with linen changed regularly.

They do have air-con but it cost 35 euros a week plus deposit extra so check if this is included in your price.

As others have said they are in a great location. The new apartments being built are diagonally opposite and caused us no problems despite our balcony overlooking the road they are being built on.

The balcony (very small) was the only down side to the place in that we had room 24 which overlooks Pepe's restaurant on the street. We made a late booking so could not specify a room with a better view or bigger balcony but this was a minor issue.

If you can specify a room with a pool view will give you a bigger patio/balcony.

Friends of ours were holidaying in the Port for our second week in an apartment past the marina above the Toy Planet shop. Huge apartment, stunning views but so noisy from the road so I much preferred the location of the Flora.

Would have no hesitation on going back to the Flora but it won't be with First Choice. An 11 hour flight delay on our return. Two years ago I had a flight to Menorca with them and that had an 11 hour flight delay on the way out. They won't get a chance to make it three in a row!
