Thanks guys - going in September so the resort should be quieter.

Joanne - did your friends think that they were clean and well appointed? This trip is for hubby's 40th birthday and I want it to be perfect. Any further info would be fantastic. Thanks Lala

Default Iru Apartments

We have just returned from PP after our 3rd holiday at the Iru Apartments - we always have the two bed apartment at the back of the block (there are only 3 of us) The apartments are fantastic, very clean and well appointed. Comfy beds and good quality bed linen. The kitchens are fully equipped. The whole apartment is furnished by Ikea but there are some nice individual touches. The Tv has some UK channels (ITV and BBC) and there was a DVD player in our apartment. The air conditioning is excellent and very welcome after a hard day at the beach, which is a stones throw away. I did not find the apartments at all noisy and would certainly recommend them. Hope you have a wonderful time, I am soooo envious!8)

Default IRU Apts

Lala, Friends stayed there last summer, we visited then once or twice, huge single apt,big balcony and they were at the front overlooking the whole bay. I sit at Pascalino most nights and there is zero noise, everything stops at midnight.

Thanks Smiddy,

Rang up and booked yesterday so we are back in PP September 15th - woo hoo! It will be a complete surprise for hubby's 40th birthday (can't think of anywhere better to celebrate!)

The chap at Iru was very nice and the apartments look lovely - good to hear that they are nice - can't wait! We have slept at the front at the Sis Pins so I know what you mean by everything going quiet at 12. PP is the perfect place for Cinderellas like me who need their beauty sleep!

We sometimes stop at Pascalino on the way home. Had a chat with one of the waiters late one night in July (or the owner?) and he was very grumpy! He said they "close when every one leaves" and "HE doesn't get a holiday" - he was very funny! LOL :rollin

Now all I need to do is plan the perfect place for a romantic meal on hubby's birthday itself...Ivy Garden maybe.

Just back from a lovely extra week in PP. Was most impressed with the Iru Apartments and would definitely recommend. www.iru.com.es/apart/castella/inici

The apartment was huge with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a well equipped kitched, utility room and very large terrace. The Terrace had loads of space and lovely views along the Pine Walk. It was a perfect place to sit with a drink or for lunch and also had sunbeds and a detractable awning for much needed shade.

The furnishings were modern and clean with beautiful white linen - giving the whole place an airy, bright feel which is a welcome change from much of the dark traditional furnishings. Air-con in main bedroom and living area - would be very much needed in the height of summer.

Location couldn't have been better - sitting there at night you really felt as if you were sitting at a Pine Walk bar instead of your own private terrace - yet with the parasols up at the restaurants below up it was really very private too.

Not the ideal spot if you are looking for solitude but as everything is closing by 11 or 12 pm there was never an issue with late night noise disturbing our sleep. In fact the birds roosting in the nearby tree made the biggest racket!

Very safe with 3 door entry system and safety deposit box.

Carlos was most helpful especially when we were delayed 14 hours at the airport and other arrangements had to be made to pick up the keys. Booking easy and great communications.

A definite favourite for us now and we will return.

Lala
