Default Hotel Llenaire

Just wondering if anyone has recently walked up from the port up to Hotel Llenaire. I've looked on google maps and doesn't look too far. Is there pavement most of the way?

No pavement after you leave the roundabout at the bypass but its a straight road and you can be seen by cars, well worth a visit!

Wink

According to Google maps it's 3.3km, 2 miles, from the roundabout at the port, 42mins walk, with the last 1.2 km from the Bypass without paths!!

Check here Google

There is no Street Lighting once you leave the bypass, so a torch will be needed at night to find your way and to alert traffic of your presence!!
Not a route I'd like to take at night. Taxi would be a better choice for safety.

I've walked down there a few times. I'm always looking for scenic walks down from the old town.

I'm pleased to say that the locals will always slow down to pass you on this stretch.

Also, last time I was there it started chucking it down and a couple of old dears in their Fiat stopped and gave us a lift back to town. Bloomin brilliant.

We walked it the autumn before last - easy walk and the road was quiet so no concerns about traffic safety. Wouldn’t do it at night tho.

Does anyone know when it reopens? We were after a coffee and cake on the terrace but it was shut (October) Was a nice walk but we still felt a bit daft!
