Default Bush on Calle de Bot

Hi folks,

I've been visiting Puerto Pollensa for a few years and have been staying at the Pollensa Park hotel. Now every night I walk down to the port and go past a little bistro on calle de bot which do bbqs and such. There is a bush outside that has a lovely smell like jasmine. I've always wondered what it is and simply call it 'the smelly bush' which isn't overly nice. Can anyone help me out and finally put a name to this please?

Cheers

Hi - I know EXACTLY what bush you mean - it smells so nice, and I've a feeling it's jasmine, but I could be wrong as I don't have particularly green fingers! Hopefully someone else can verify!

Default smelly bush

It could also be something called 'Lady of the Night' - (brunsfelsia is the Latin name, though perhaps the spellling isn't quite perfect!)

The flowers will be quite small but the smell is very powerful.

We are usually in PP in August and the flowers have mostly gone by then.

Hope this helps.
