Default Goats!

Absolutely no idea where to place this one but I am sure the super moderator will opine...

The goat population of the port (animals rather than oldies) seems to have increased massively this year. I had to take evasive action on the dual carriageway road to Formentor yesterday as a group (there's probably a better term) of at least 20 suddenly made a dash for it over the road. Be warned!

Yes, we seem to see more & more of them around Avda Bocchoris & the approach to the Boquer valley. Friends who live nearby say that they often find the goats munching on their garden plants too!

It amazes me that with so many goats around we don't see more of it on the restaurant menus .

Sorry but no.

We did try it many years ago at a restaurant in the mountains on the road to Soller, the place was way out in the sticks and they used almond shells to fuel the ovens and BBQs, this gave a different flavour to the suckling pig and the goat stew was baked in the oven, really good .

Pleased to see our cabra friends have brought out the comedians (sort of).

In similar vein Senora PollensaToni has christened two of the goats "Serg" and "Fab". (residents will get this one, although thankfully their "artwork" seems to be on the wane).

I did point out though that the goats are better behaved....

Good news re idiots "SERG" and "fab" although I don't think there's much left for these two numpties to graffiti?!

There is the slim hope of course that they've been locked up.

Just drove past Joesp's and he has a board outside with the following**:

"Solo esta noche:
Cabra con patatas
Cabra con arroz
Cabra con espaghetti
Cabra con salsa
Cabra especial"

** Note this may be a joke...
