Worried about the Lindhem chicks as they do not look very active - expecially one of them. And there are still 2 eggs to hatch.

Definitely a smaller /weaker chicken. They have been very slow to hatch, perhaps this is the youngest. It doesn't bode well that the mother is not sitting on the eggs, it's such a shame.

Great to watch the feeding time in Roettenbach this morning. They grow so quickly. Though the little one is still tiny.

Yes, I'm just watching them - the size of the fish that one of them was trying to eat! And i'm just amazed that the tiny one has survived so far. But the Lindheim ones are still very small and don't seem to be thriving at all - and the parent seems to be always pecking at them

I saw this on the news yesterday....a Peregrine Falcon nest in Nottingham. Attracting a lot of attention in the UK:

I took a look at the Lindheim cam for the first time yesterday and below the main livecam is footage of 5 babies, and the four bigger ones are pecking/ attacking the tiny one. I’m not sure if this is old footage but it makes for very gruesome watching. As we’ve said before we all know it’s nature but it can be so cruel at times. I was hoping the adult one would pick it up and toss it out of the nest as it would probably have meant instant death and not the prolonged one that I saw

Just looked at the Falcon and she has a large chick and an unhatched egg showing currently.
