Parents legs are bright red, 'babies' will need another year to get there.

Two of the youngsters are having a real ding dong battle on the nest at the moment - diving at each other and jumping with wings spread - looks like a ral domestic Not sure but I think they might be hungry

Default Winter Approaches..Röttenbach: Storks hatchery

I think everyone must be diverted with the virus and oncoming Brext. Little recent news of the storks on the forum so to reduce stress levels I hunted down the link to the Rottenbach storks: Just the one bird balancing on one (thin) leg with a stiff breeze ruffling the feathers. Rather him than me.

I have't seen a stork on the nest for ages - just pigeons which I assumed had taken up residence for the winter - one there now as I type

I check in most evenings....what else is there to do! Usually see just one lonely stork standing on one leg. Is it mum, dad or one of the babies though?

I wish that they would invite the herons that keep visiting my garden out for a holiday in order to give my fish a break. I have to keep on telling the grandchildren that their favourite fish, which I have had to replace, have changed colour!!

I never realised that they took turns in sitting on the nest - but they have just swapped places

The two storks are just standing and I could spot the egg.
Sure looks cold and windy, so I hope the egg will get warmed again soon.
