Poor Mrs Stork, she didn't half persevere. Sad to see the eggs still sitting there. I wonder if we'll get a different pair next year. Not sure I can go through the agonising 'will they, won't they hatch' again 😞
And I know I'm glass completely flipping empty but I've never seen Victor on the vulture cam since the rather sinister footage, which has now been removed 😳

Yes Debz - I always tried to avoid looking at poor Mr & Mrs Stork and their 4 eggs and seeing them looking so dejected and bemused so I am glad if she has decided to give up - poor thing, sitting there for months and wondering why her babies didnt arrive - I am filling up now As as for poor Victor - I saw that footage as well and it was not a pretty sight. I think I am just too 'soft' for this wild life in the raw footage and will stick to the Alaro square in future - nothing upsetting there

A few days ago was transferred by Jorge and Juan José to another dependence and were able to see who flies for yourself and you eat just perfectly, without the help of the parents. Your future in freedom is in Andalusia. By the way, continues with no name waiting for someone to encourage apadrinarlo.

Although it was well known that the storks eggs were doomed to fail I have continued to dip into the web cam page every now and again. Although the birds are still using the nest they are hardly ever seen during the daytime. However, it's fascinated me how the four eggs have remained intact during the last 5-6 months, still occupying the centre of the nest. I would have thought that by now some eagle type scavenger would have attacked the nest for the eggs. Today, though, only two eggs are visible, and these are in a very precarious position at the edge of the nest. Whether they've been placed there by the storks or not I have no idea. Sad ending, of course, but nature is such an interesting subject. Let's hope for bitterness next year

Me too..when I last looked it was covered in snow. Oh crikey will we be able to stand the stress
I went to Nuremberg in December for the Christmas markets, and one day our friends arranged a train journey to Rottenburg. I was so excited and was saying 'we'll be able to look for the storks'. It was only when we got there that the penny dropped the storks are in a Rottenbach. Well it was an easy mistake

Did you go to Rothenburg ob der Tauber?
They have stork nests too, though no webcam -
