Default Air Berlin arrivals.

In a moment of sheer boredom (it's raining outside) I just looked at my Flightradar app at the Palma area and saw 8 Air Berlin aircraft in a long line approaching Palma Airport. I doubt the UK airlines put that number of flights in during a week, at this time of year, that alone within an hour!

I've noticed a lot of German walkers around over the last couple of weeks while hiking around, mostly in the west.

As it is now pouring in PP I googled Flightradar & found flightradar24.com - what fun! Will be tracking our return flight tomorrow...

I have just googled it as well. Good way to spend a spare half hour or so! Very interesting though when you have UK on the screen and zoom out a few times so that most of Europe is on the screen. The number of planes that are up there at any one given time....... Best not to think about it!

We have used Air Berlin many times when they used to fly from Stansted to Palma. We found them to be brilliant and so efficent. AND they GAVE you a lovely cup of coffee and sandwich too. Their prices at that time were very competitive and were always our first choice when arranging flights.

For anyone new to Flightradar, you can download to your main computer at home and if you zoom in to your local area you can get detail almost down to street level. Bit geekish but opens your eyes to what's up there although not all commercial aircraft are shown, maybe 90% + I think.
