Not sure that standing is allowed, even with Ryanair
There are seats in the toilets though
Fit seatbelts on the toilet seat and that's two or three extra passengers that can be squeezed on board

I've came over with Ryanair loads of times and never had a problem! I certainly wouldn't rate the likes of Jet 2 or Easyjet any better.

We fly out with easyjet on Tuesday, I think I will take two deck chairs for the flight deck just in case of overbooking. Sparky I hope your weather station is programmed for good weather next week.

Had an email the weekend from Easyjet stating

ONLINE CHECK IN ONLY
We’re now asking all our customers to check in online at easyjet.com and not at the airport. It’s simple and you can do it from 30 days before you fly. Don’t worry, we’ll remind you nearer the time.

We were advised in january that this would be coming in shortly.

The online check in is mentioned in the March in flight magazine.

Online check in only is from 23rd April if I remember correctly.

No check in at the airports, online only with bag drop off.

I hope my printer is working OK

I cant find any mention on the easy jet website yet.

Have been doing this for several years now, so much easier, just turn up and head straight towards the gate, no queuing at check-in anymore!

Most of us take suitcases though

The queue will probably be transferred from check in desks to bag drop desks.

Maybe there will be a speedy bag drop desk for an extra fee

Not on all flights, I bet our flights in January were 90% hand luggage, so much so, they had to unload some into the hold as all the overhead lockers were full!

I should imagine the cost of the flights will be halved as we now do most of the work for them, they are so generous these Airlines I envisage us paying three nicker a flight with us flying the bloody things?
I do enjoy a bargain.

We are flying 20th April so I think they are bringing this in now across the board due to allocated seating.
We had checked in on line for January and had prebooked extra legroom front row seats. The boarding pass stated Speedy Boarding..I am not sure what rows in total are allocated to the SB queue but we were told by the cabin staff that they would probably introduce boarding by row number at some airports (depending if it was walk on or 2 door entry).

The introduction of online check-in only is great for most of us but does anybody ever consider the elderly, some of whom are not very good with computers. It's not only Easyjet that are implementing these online only restrictions, they seem to be happening all the time, all around us, especially in the banking and energy sectors.

Elderly people are paying dearly, as they still have to do it 'the old fashioned way' and in most cases pay much more. Sorry if i've gone off thread, rant over!

I agree. My in laws flew Ryanair and mistakenly thought they could take 15 lbs luggage not 15kg! They flew with just 8KG approx each having paid for 15kg However, they did see the funny side of it on their return.
