Default Thomson flight only.... HELP!!!

Hey my lovely fountains of all knowledge.
I normally use Palmair out of Bournemouth as they are easy/huge bag allowance/meal/seats together without paying for it etc!!!

However I notice that the Thomson flight that leaves just before Pamair on the Sat morning is for the 9 of us a total of £500/600 cheaper but the baggge allowance thing looks a bit of a nightmare and I dont want to have to pay extra for seats etc. I'd rather get there early and be first in check out Q.

Please regale me me with your experiences to help me decide to go for easy option or cheaper option??

Thanks folks

Dilemma WS!

I can only fly with Palmair direct from our Island and have got nothing but praise for them, although much dearer than all other airlines, they give a pleasant travelling experience having retained they way all flying used to be!!
We can fly to London etc and catch a connecting flight but can usually work out as expensive (add on money spent at other airport, connecting times etc!!) done it before and flew with Thomsons!! If I was you.....given you have the choice....I would go Thomsons (they are quite good!) and spend all that saving in PP. even it means cutting back on all they shoes!! Lol

It is a lovely travelling experience with Palmair but you are so right its more money to spend in PP.

It will be the luggage that will be difficult. I quess you just have to be smart about packing. Full 5kg in hand luggage etc!!! Thanks Favie

I know, thats a scandal.. if i do have to cut back on luggage it will be strictly 2 t shirts each for the boys..

Has anyone had negative/positive experience with Thomson flight only??

I have used Thomsons many times and I find them to be very good. My mother is disabled and as such I will only fly with Thomsons when taking her with me.

They have always been on time and certainly professional at all times. Great to be treated as a human too!!!

A £600 difference in price can buy a lot of luggage! lol

Thank you Eleanor. Its always a bit daunting when you have always used a company that you are happy with. But it is a big saving and that is based on last years Palmair flights. It might be even more when they release their flights..

Go for it WS. At the end of the day it is only a short flight and i'm sure, based on my experiences, all will be fine. Good luck!

Hi Wrightstuff
We used Thomson in May for the first time, owing to the demise of FlyGlobespan. We were very impressed with their overall performance and have already booked with them for September 2011
Bit of a pain paying for the extra's I know, but their light years ahead of Easy Jet, Ryanair and other similar type companies
Go for it

Thank you.. We are on the southcoast and it is so easy flying from Bournemouth which is not very big so not many choices.. I think with that sort saving its a must.
