Default Thomas Cook Flights (and Thomson)

With the loss of Globespan who had a daily flight from Edinburgh and from Glasgow and some from Aberdeen, a lot of capacity has been removed for the coming season.

On the panel on your left you will see under "Flights" that Thomas Cook appear to fly to Palma from nearly all UK airports.

If you try their website you will find they refer you to Jet 2, BA ,KlM and so on at eye watering, no, blinding prices, but no flights on Thomas Cook planes.

However if you contact a TCX shop you can get flights, on TCX planes but again at a price and also you must fly in multiples of seven days only.

Their baggage charges seem rather vague as staff in different shops had different interpretations, one suggesting that the basic price meant with no hold baggage at all.

TCX , and Thomson hold themselves out as having more flights this year to fill in for the loss of Globespan but I know from looking at some destinations they have less than last year and a shorter season to boot.

Thomson too seem a bit of a puzzle as some flight only prices include hold baggage in the price(ie if it doesn't say it is an extra) and others will make you pay. £16 for one hold bag per return trip.

Thomson will allow flexibility to book for just about any number of days you want, as long as seats available. But as with TCX you will pay, and what is an acceptable price for one isn't for someone else.

Good hunting peeps!

Ryan and Easy have extra flights on but at a price.

Default Thomas Cook Flights

To fly from Aberdeen to Palma during July (on a Saturday) with Thomas Cook would cost us £1200 for 2 adults and a child. Now that Globespan have disappeared there are only flights through Thomson and Thomas Cook. Thomson use Air Europa and only fly Tuesdays and Thursday.
