Default I Want to live near East Midlands Airport!

Following BJ's recent post on his holiday flights to PP, I couldn't believe how cheap they were. As a comparison I checked the costs of flights from Glasgow and East Midlands for the whole month of October. I could not believe it!!! (Grumpy old man voice). You can fly out from East Midlands every day with a number of carriers. Cheapest was £10. Coming back was about £25 on average. From Glasgow it was £150 to £200 return. These costs do not include bags etc. For a family of 4 this adds about £600 extra.

No wonder some of us complain about the costs in PP when we have already been ripped off as soon as we leave for the airport.

Adios

Dave

Our nearest airports are Cardiff or Bristol...We tend to book with Easyjet out of Bristol as they are the cheapest and also do early morning flights.I book as the flights are released.this year paid £70 pp rtn for April and October and £125 July ( these include baggage charges and taxes etc) so not too bad. Also booked next april at approx £70pp rtn

Only used East Midlands once. It was great value but, travelling back to Lancaster we spent two hours in a jam on the M6 - good job it wasn't on the outbound leg!

Fortunately from here we're well served by Manchester, Liverpool and Blackpool, so lots of choice and reasonable deals.

Amazing how much costs vary from airport to airport.
